Experiences in life.

What experiences in life helped you grow the most?

I would say this would have to be when I did a counselling course for two years it really made me look into my own bag of troubles, and I really had to deal with a few things, one being how I was bullied as a child I was bullied for things I had no control over namely my name, my hair and my height yes I was short I had cptight curly hair and my name is Ian but it got abrieviated to ‘ E ‘ and I hated it but doing the course I learnt that my bully was being bullied himself and some years later I also became a bully to others so it becomes a merry go round which doesn’t stop unless someone steps off and stops the process but at the time I didn’t see it this way . I have suffered with my own mental health, but I am willing to talk, scream, cry, or laugh about it. Either way, I’m getting it out, not letting control me, so that’s what’s helped me . Fate/Destiny.

Do you believe in fate/destiny?

I believe in a little bit of both if that’s possible in our weird world we all live in, and I don’t see anything wrong in that because it’s good to be different and think differently about things, it was fate for me to meet my wife and its our destiny to live a fairly good life .

My Job.

Do you enjoy your job?

I thoroughly enjoy my job. I work for a Welsh charity that is funded by our health service, and we help and support and offer guidance for substance missue and mental health I get to talk to people and promote services that are available in our community that people might not know about .

Be someone else.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?

I would like to be me without any pain or fatigue of any kind. Having an invisible illness is no fun for its sufferer, so to have a day with no pain or fatigue would be amazing and truly uplifting, I enjoy being me so I wouldn’t want to be anyone else apart from what I’ve said .

D.I.Y.

Describe the most ambitious DIY project you’ve ever taken on.

The words “Do It Yourself don’t necessarily equate to doing something around the home I would also take them to mean looking after ” me” because if we don’t look after me we can’t do any jobs around our homes my looking after me is important whether that be reading, relaxing, meditation time with the family either way I’m looking after doing what I need first so that’s my ” most ambitious DIY project I’ve ever taken on “.
